Every election in South Korea creates massive waste - political banners are hung on every corner street to promote the candidates. Then, we found out about a ritual that as soon as they get elected, they wear ties that match their party’s color.

To put an end to this wasteful cycle on Election Day, Green Peace will make neckties out of political banners and distribute them to winning officials. This new way of upcycling can represent the country that’s committed to fighting against climate change but also bring changes to the wasteful ritual.
